Money Skills (The Financial Literacy Program)
Poverty is not only about money, it is also about not having access to the skills, resources, information, and choices necessary to get and maintain self-sufficiency.
Money Skills will help people on limited income to access objective money management information; to develop good money management skills; and to build a sense of confidence in making money decisions.
In this 4 week program you will learn about:
Banking – Learn about different options and which are appropriate for you.
Budgeting – Learn how to budget and get control over your money instead of your money controlling you.
Consumerism – Learn to make choices based on what is good for you personally. Our society teaches us that more is better, which is not necessarily true.
Credit – A positive credit history is very important in order to achieve control of your finances. Learn how to make GOOD CREDIT possible.
