Securing Your Future


Family Services Financial Literacy programs help people build money management skills and plan for their future.



Our Money Skills program for adults teaches participants about banking options, budgeting, smart purchasing, and developing a good credit history. Offered in partnership with Vancity.

Our RESP info sessions show people how they can access up to $3200 / child in government education grants and start saving for their child’s education. Offered in partnership with Smart Saver.

Good financial skills set up youth up for success. Youth financial literacy courses are available free to alternative programs in secondary schools and youth organizations through our partnership with VancityVancouver Foundation, and JP Morgan Chase and Co.

Newcomer Women with Children

This program teaches newcomer women with children how to manage money and empowers them to be more active in managing family finances.


Free financial literacy classes are offered in partnership with other hosting agencies and are funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Subsidies for childminding and bus tickets may be provided.
