Lisa Whittaker, B.A, M. Ed Vice President - Counselling, Community Education, Trauma & Victim Services
For nearly 20 years, Lisa Whittaker has worked in the social service sector, focussing on the advancement of marginalized women and children involved in the criminal justice system for crimes they’ve experienced or witnessed. As a senior leader, Lisa works closely with advocacy groups, community agencies, funders and major donors, and with federal, provincial and municipal government to bring unique solutions to the complex issues facing our society today.
A sought after presenter, Lisa has spoken both nationally and internationally on Family Services innovative police partnership model which sees police and social workers working collaboratively on the most high-risk domestic violence cases.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in the Department of Education from Brock University. She joined Family Services of Greater Vancouver in 2007 and currently serves as Vice President of Counselling, Community Education, Trauma, and Victim Services.
