Years ago, adoptions were "closed" and records sealed. Today many birth parents and adoptive parents are seeking more flexibility and are considering varying degrees of openness—from sharing letters and pictures to exchanging identifying information. Parties to the adoption will choose the level of openness that is right for them. The agency will assist in exploring the options and developing appropriate agreements.
Fees
There are no fees for services to birth parents. A fee schedule for services to adoptive parents is available.
