Community Education and Development

Community Education & Development Services
The Community Education and Development Services department (formerly called the Family Life Education Program) was initiated by Family Services of Greater Vancouver in October 1966, when it began as a pilot project offering parent education groups in Eastside Vancouver schools.  The program now operates in three regions: Vancouver, Richmond and New Westminster. In response to needs identified by a broad spectrum of the public, we develop affordable education, information and support programs using a model that emphasizes group interaction, skill development and respect for participants’ previous knowledge and experience.  Our intention is to help people meet various life challenges.
