People take turns shopping and demonstrating how to cook their favourite recipes. It’s an opportunity to learn new recipes, make new friends, practice speaking English and learn about other cultures. Cooking in bulk together also is a great way to save money.
Program Features
- Everyone is welcome especially newcomers! It’s a fun way to learn and share skills and knowledge about cooking and you don’t have be a good cook to join. To learn more about the program check out our Newsletter, the Nibbler. Click here to see latest edition.

- Membership Requirements: We ask people to commit to join a group for a season. The fall season starts in mid September, winter starts in January and spring starts in April. We take a break in the summer season. View our 2010 schedule here.

Special Events Twice a year, in December and June, we have Open House Celebrations for cooking club members, their families and people interested in joining the program.

October 13th is World Food Day and the Community Kitchen program along with community partners are sponsoring an community event from Noon - 4:00 pm at the Richmond Cultural Centre. The theme is the "ten-mile diet". |
