Latin American Counselling Services
The Latin American Counselling Program is a community-based service providing counselling and orientation services to the Latin American population of immigrants and refugees. The program provides support and counselling to families adapting to a new culture and to individuals/families in crisis. Service is provided in Spanish.

 

Program Features

  • Individual, Couples and Family Counselling (counselling provided in the areas of: cultural adjustment; parenting in a new culture; adjustment to losses; separation or divorce; personal coping; marital or family problems; family violence; recovering from traumatic experiences; crisis intervention; stress related to family; social or work environment).
  • Intake and referral to services provided in Spanish.
  • Information regarding existing community resources in Spanish.
  • Community Support.
  • Network with Latin American Professionals in Mental Health or other social services.

Our Staff
Experienced Family Counsellors with Masters degree in clinical Counselling or Social Work.
Competent professionals with a vast understanding of cultural values of working in a Multicultural Society.

Fees for Service
No assigned fees for services, but contribution is suggested.
