Richmond Student Parent Colt Program
The Richmond Student Parents Colt Program assists pregnant teens and adolescent parents in overcoming barriers to education and employment opportunities. These barriers include a lack of daycare for their children, economic difficulties, transportation as well as relationship and personal issues. A variety of educational experiences help them develop as individuals, parents, students, employees and citizens.

Through the program, young parents are encouraged and assisted in completing an education program, increasing parenting skills, enhancing life skills, strengthening self-esteem, exploring career and work opportunities, evaluating post-secondary education options, and developing mutual support and self reliance. While participating in the program, their children are provided with quality daycare—on campus.
